Rick Knight, son of Rick Knight and Nellie Knight has been in and around the auto industry for all of his life, born in "73". Grew up around Auto Racing *Family racing consists of Grandfather - The late Robert Knight #1 a.k.a. King of the dirt, Uncle's Randy Knight #24 -Bob Knight #44 - and John Jutila #17* Father was also in the auto upholstery for 30 years who started back at Remes Auto Glass in Grand Rapids, MI.

After watching his father for many years as a child. Rick then decided to follow his father's footsteps, working side by side at other upholstery shops.

After 16 years of working for others, Rick felt it was time for him to go out on his own. So on January 21st 2005, Elite Customs was started.
